ESC 2025: record start for ticket sales – first wave of tickets sold out

The first wave of ticket sales for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 in Basel got off to a flying start today. Tickets for the live shows sold out within 7 minutes. Preview shows sold out within 20 minutes. The first wave of sales went smoothly, and the high demand shows the enormous enthusiasm for the world's favourite music event. A total of 42’000 tickets were sold.

Eurovision Song Contest: Malmö hands over to Basel

Joint announcement from the Presidential Department of the Canton of Basel-Stadt and SRG SSR: The official Eurovision insignia were handed over from Malmö to Basel at the traditional Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Final Draw ceremony today. The Swedish team handed over a specially created gown to Conradin Cramer, president of the Basel Cantonal Council. The draw was subsequently held to allocate the participating countries to one of the two Semi-Finals. The ceremony was broadcast live all over the world.

«2 x Christmas» campaign generates huge solidarity

The Swiss population and numerous companies support people living in poverty at home and abroad. A total of 390 tonnes of foodstuffs and toiletries were donated to the 28th «2 x Christmas» campaign for distribution within Switzerland. This is in addition to CHF 222'000 in cash donations to SRC winter aid projects in other countries. This meant that over 50'000 people were able to experience a little joy in their otherwise difficult lives.

The presenters for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 (ESC 2025) have been confirmed: Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker, and Sandra Studer will host the various live shows. In addition, ESC 2025 will become an event for the whole of society through various projects.

Basel seeks 700 volunteers for ESC 2025 - registration opens today

Joint announcement from the Presidential Department of the Canton of Basel-Stadt and SRG SSR. Starting today, volunteers can register for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel. Around 700 volunteers are needed to help shape the world’s largest music event and contribute to the atmosphere of the Host City. A variety of tasks and an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience await them. Anyone aged 18 and above can apply – local knowledge is an advantage. The organization is managed by Swiss Volunteers.

The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2025 is taking shape, as the stage, visuals and audio identity are revealed. The Project Team presented the visual concept for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Basel and launched the registration process for tickets. Four national partners were also presented.

Edi Estermann named Head of Communication for ESC 2025

Edi Estermann, head of the SRG Press Office and spokesman for SRG Director General Gilles Marchand, has been named Head of Communication for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. From November he will focus solely on communication activities for the event.

The ESC 2025 will take place in Basel

The decision has been made: The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will be held in Basel. The city at the elbow of the Rhine was selected by the Swiss organiser of the Eurovision Song Contest, the SRG, yesterday evening and confirmed this morning by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
