Career to date

Susanne Wille studied history, journalism and English language and literature at the universities of Fribourg, Zurich and Edinburgh. After working as a video journalist at the Aargau regional broadcaster TeleM1, she moved to SRF in 2001 as a reporter and presenter of the news programme "10 vor 10". Between 2011 and 2016, she worked as a political correspondent in Bern for the political programme "Rundschau". Her work as a political journalist has received multiple awards. After Susanne Wille took on management responsibility for the digital transformation of the newsroom at SRF from 2016 and led the quality and steering board in the newsroom, she shaped the "SRF 2024" strategy and organisational development process as a member of the core team. In June 2020, she joined the Executive Board of SRF and took over SRF's Culture department. In the same year, Susanne Wille became Deputy Director of SRF and a member of the management of 3sat, the joint channel of SRG, ARD, ZDF and ORF. Susanne Wille trained in digital strategy and change processes and completed a master's degree in business administration at IMD in Lausanne. She was appointed Director General of SRG SSR in November 2024.
