TV in HD
From 29 February, SRG begins broadcasting six of its standard TV stations in HD.
RTS launches its web presence
RTS launches its website rts.ch, and unveils a new look for its radio and TV stations. Meanwhile, SRF gives srf.ch a facelift.
Internet advertising ban
The Federal Council decides to retain the ban on advertising on SRG websites. At the same time, however, it grants SRG more freedom to decide the content of its online presence.

The International Animation Film Festival takes place in Baden every September during six days. SRG becomes media partner of the festival and supports, inter alia, the Swiss competition with the public award.
Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF)

The GIFF takes place every Autumn and offers a platform to independent autors of different genres and disciplines. Since its foundation, the festival has been exploring the connection between cinema, television and digital art. SRG has been media partner of the festival since 2012.
Interactive TV
SRF and RTS launch their new interactive TV services, SRF+ and RTS+.
WRS is privatised
The English-language World Radio Switzerland (WRS) is privatised and handed over to Anglo Media SA.
Support for Shnit

SRG supported the international short film festival Shnit for the first time in 2013. Shnit aims to serve as an international platform for filmmakers, scriptwriters, producers and film enthusiasts. The annual festival features simultaneous events on five continents.
